How we came to be...
The Albany Gay Men's Chorus began in 2008.
The chorus was born as a program of the Pride Center of the Capital Region. Our founding members dreamed of starting a chorus dedicated to singing classical choral music as well as Broadway showtunes, popular songs, inspirational music and fun novelty pieces in the time-honored
Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone & Bass (TTBB) tradition.
AGMC became its own non-profit organization in 2012.
We are proud of how we have grown. We look forward to growing larger and getting much more involved in our community. AGMC donates 10% of the proceeds from our concerts to other non-profit organizations in the Capital Region of New York State.
What we came to do...
The Albany Gay Men's Chorus' primary goal is to create beautiful music.
We like to sing classical choral pieces, popular songs of today and yesterday, musical theater tunes and fun novelty numbers.
We are here to spread harmony, joy, understanding, respect, diversity, equity, inclusion and compassion through music
